David O’Hanlon-Alexandra is a poet and literary critic. His poems have appeared widely in magazines and journals, including Poetry WalesThe Rialto and Acumen. His debut pamphlet, art brut, was published by V. Press in 2015, and his first full collection, History, by Valley Press the following year. He is currently researching a PhD thesis at Newcastle University, funded by the Northern Bridge Consortium (AHRC), on literary criticism written by poets in the British Romantic period, in which Percy Bysshe Shelley’s ‘A Defence of Poetry’ and Thomas Love Peacock’s ‘The Four Ages of Poetry’ play a vital role.
